Export to QuickBooks Online

Two ways to get statements into QuickBooks Online: a Web Connect .QBO file with no column mapping, or a QuickBooks-ready CSV.

Available on Pro and above. There are two options:

QuickBooks Web Connect (.QBO), recommended

  • No column mapping. QuickBooks reads money in and money out directly.
  • Transactions land in Banking → For review, so nothing is added to the books until you accept it.
  • Each transaction carries an ID, so uploading the same file twice doesn't create duplicates.
  • One file holds up to 1,000 transactions. Larger ledgers are split into several files.
  • To import: in QuickBooks Online, go to Banking → Upload transactions, choose the .QBO file and pick the account (a credit card account for card statements).

QuickBooks-ready CSV

  • Use it if you prefer the CSV route. On the import screen, check that QuickBooks has mapped money in and money out to the right columns before you continue.
